Testing

National Testing Center
Voluntary Education
  • Language Testing – Contact: 60education.testing@us.af.mil
  • DLAB – Defense Language Aptitude Battery
    • Day/Time: TUES, 0800
    • Location: Travis Education Center, A-211
    • Registration: 60education.testing@us.af.mil
    • Duration: 90 minutes
    • Results: Scores provided immediately after the session
    • Notes: Given to individuals to judge their ability to learn a foreign language.
  • DLPT- Defense Language Proficiency Test
    • Day/Time: Tuesday @ 0800 & 1200
    • Location: Travis Education Center A-211
    • Duration: 3 hours for listening & 3 hours for reading.
    • Results: Scores are available after both sessions are completed.
    • Notes: Designed to assess the general language proficiency in reading and listening.
  • OPI- Oral Proficiency Interview
    • Day/Time: By appointment
    • Location: Travis Education Center A-Bay Main Office
    • Duration: Up to 1 hour
    • Results: Provided 2 weeks after testing. Score is uploaded to member’s record and will be emailed to member when received from DLI and updated in system.
    • Notes: Conducted for foreign language proficiency to qualify for language programs or to satisfy a mandatory requirement.
All Other Voluntary Tests
  • AFCT- Armed Forces Classification Test (ASVAB equivalent for active-duty)
    • Day/Time: Wednesday/Thursday @ 0800
    • Location: Travis Education Center, A-211
    • Registration: 60education.testing@us.af.mil
    • Duration: 4 hours
    • Results: Provided after the session on the same day.
    • Notes: Multi-part test used by the active-duty military to identify an individual’s aptitudes and areas of greatest career potential. It is a test of ability and an indication of academic readiness to pursue a particular career choice.
  • AFRAT- Air Force Reading Abilities Test
    • Day/Time: By appointment
    • Location: Travis Education Center, B-115
    • Registration: Schedule through your UTM
    • Duration: 90 minutes
    • Results: Hard copy report provided on the same day.
    • Notes: English reading comprehension test. Requested by UTM.
  • CDC/EOC- Career Development Course/End of Course
    • Day/Time: By appointment
    • Location: Travis Education Center, A-211
    • Registration: Schedule through your UTM
    • Duration: 3 hours
    • Results: Members can obtain results via myLearning website upon same day as test completion.
    • Notes: End of course test for those who need 5 & 7 level upgrades.
  • FAA-Sign up for a test at.
    • Day/Time: Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday @ 0830
    • Location: Travis Education Center, A-211
    • Registration:
    • Member must have an FTN. Find or register for one at https://iacra.faa.gov/IACRA
    • Sign-up for test at https://faa.psiexams.com. If there are any issues, contact 60fssfsdewtesting@us.af.mil
    • Duration: Dependent on test
    • Results: Score report is given same day. Also available in FAA account.
    • Notes: Tests available for active-duty military, cadets, Guard/Reserve, dependents of military members, DoD civilians, DHS civilians with base access, Retirees and Veterans with base access, dependents of Retirees with base access.
