Youth Clubs
Torch Club
Torch Club is a community service club for ages 9-12. This is a Service Club initiative of Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA). The club’s goal is to foster character, leadership and promote community service involvement among preteens. This Club gives individuals a chance to experience community service and develop organizational skills. Torch club is run by youth with the support of an adult advisor. Meetings are scheduled on Thursdays of each week and youth have a chance to plan events, fundraisers, review club funds, decide on expenditures and give input to the Open Recreation program for the benefit of all youth participants. Torch club operates its own healthy heart snack bar, which also provides income to the club.
Keystone Club
Keystone Club is a community service club for ages 13-18. This is a Service Club initiative of Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA). The club’s goal is to foster character, leadership and promote community service involvement among teens. The club’s mission is to provide a positive environment where teens can reach their goals and aspirations and become successful in the future. The Club gives teens an opportunity to help and serve their community, develop organizational skills and hone leadership skills. The Keystone Club is run by the teens and is supported by their Teen Advisor. Keystone meetings are scheduled every Wednesday of each week where teens have a chance to plan events, fundraisers, review club funds, decide on expenditures and give input to the teen program for the benefit of all teen participants. The Keystone club operates its own healthy heart snack bar, which also provides income to the club.
