Flight Training Center
Founded in 1954, the Travis Air Force Base Aero Club, proudly part of the 60th Force Support Squadron at Travis Air Force Base, has provided flight training and aircraft rentals for the members of Travis Air Force team for over 70 years.
We are the first United States Air Force Aero Club to utilize a fleet of Piper Aircraft equipped with glass cockpit technology from Avidyne. Situated in Rio Vista, California, just outside the bustling airspace of San Francisco, it is the perfect place for starting your aviation career. Our rates are very competitive with other facilities in the local area, and our highly trained instructors will make sure that you get the most out of your training.
We offer training for Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor Certificate, Ground Instructor Certificate and Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. We also offer online Private Pilot Ground School, and Discovery Flights all year long.
